About Us

Rich in tradition, Central Union Church Preschool (CUPS) began on October 16, 1928, with fourteen children. At the end of its first year, Central Union Church of Honolulu announced that the week-day Kindergarten had a very successful term. Even at the earliest start, it was evident that the Church’s current mission statement, “We Engage and Embrace all as we seek to Embody Christ,” permeated throughout the cooperative playschool. Today, CUPS remains a thriving, vibrant preschool program within the community, serving children and families from various backgrounds.
