Course Details
On the Ewa Plain of Oahu, Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay were given land that was once waving fields of sugar cane. Redesigned into the Hawaii Prince Golf Course, today this land features 27 holes offering unique challenges for golfers of all levels.

  • Each of the three nine holes – A, B and C – is related but has its own identity. The most challenging combination is A-C, slope rating 134 from the back tees. The least difficult is A-B.
  • Ten lakes dot the course. Water comes into play on six holes of the A course, three on the B and seven of the C.
  • On the C course, the toughest test is on the second hole, a par-4 dogleg with a lake on the left, several fairway bunkers on the right and the out-of-bounds beyond that.
  • The toughest on the A course is the eighth hole, a long par-5 with lots of bunkers and mounding.
  • The B course saves the toughest for last, a par-4 that usually plays into the trade winds, with water to the left, front and right of the tee. This is probably the most difficult hole of all three courses.
  • The putting greens on A, B and C are among the fastest in Hawaii.
  • The three interchangeable nines offer a variety of challenges with multiple sets of tees and well-placed bunkers awaiting any errant shot. Depending on which combination of nines you play, you are sure to get a diverse experience.

Central Union Church Preschool (CUPS) began on the morning of October 16, 1928, when fourteen children walked in through the garden gates. At the end of the school’s first year of operation, on June 16, 1929, the announcement appeared in the Church’s Sunday bulletin: “The Central Union week-day Kindergarten has closed a very successful
term…”

Even at the earliest start, it was evident that the Church’s current mission statement, “We Engage and Embrace all as we seek to Embody Christ” permeated throughout the “cooperative playschool.” Today, CUPS remains a thriving, vibrant preschool program within the community that strives to serve children and families from various backgrounds. Although the campus has seen many changes over the decades, one thing remains – CUPS is a nurturing, happy space that is steadfast in our commitment to provide quality early childhood education and care.

Central Union Church Preschool is a Christian-based early childhood program that promotes spiritual, cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical growth in a nurturing environment and provides a solid foundation for early learning. The Central Union Preschool program of educating the whole child encourages a life-long enthusiasm for learning and provides a solid foundation for those learning years to come.

The First Annual Golf Tournament is organized to help raise funds for the preschool’s 5 E’s:
•    Educational Opportunities,
•    Environments,
•    Endowment,
•    Events, and most importantly,
•    Economic Diversity, the tuition assistance program that paves the way for our unique and diverse group of children from across the island.

Central Union Preschool is excited to host our 1st Annual Putting for the Stars Golf Tournament. Our CUPS 'Ohana and the community at-large will come together for a day of fun n the sun, swinging, putting, and teeing off against each team all for our CUPS Keiki! However, the success of our event depends on our generous supporters, such as YOU. We hope to have YOUR SUPPORT this year to make it happen.

There are various ways You or Company can support Putting for the Stars 2025. Our event sponsorship packages are listed on the "registration| page.  All contributions are tax-deductible. For additional options on how you can help our children receive the very best in educational opportunities, please contact Alana Anderson directly at (917) 623-5913 or via email at alana@centralunionpreschool.org.
