Every month brings more than just a parent/child event to look forward to – it’s a reason to laugh, to smile, to enjoy the company of friends, and to celebrate being a CUPS Keiki. From pumpkins strewn across Atherton Courtyard in October to snow magically adorning the CUPS campus in December, lions gracefully dancing while being fed lettuce and hóngbāo for Chinese New Year, and a springtime petting zoo with carnival games and Easter Bunny, you can be guaranteed that memories are made and friendships blossom here at CUPS.    

Central Union Church Preschool (CUPS) began on the morning of October 16, 1928, when fourteen children walked in through the garden's gates. At the end of the school’s first year of operation, on June 16, 1929, the following announcement appeared in the Church’s Sunday bulletin: “The Central Union weekday Kindergarten has closed a very successful term…"

Even at the earliest start, it was evident that the Church’s current mission statement, “We Engage and Embrace all as we seek to Embody Christ,” permeated throughout the 'cooperative playschool.' Today, CUPS remains a thriving and vibrant preschool program, serving children and families from various backgrounds within the community. Although the campus has undergone many changes over the decades, one thing remains – CUPS is a nurturing, happy space, steadfast in providing quality early childhood education and care.

We are excited to announce the return of the annual Fall Fitness FUNdraiser 2025 on Friday, November 14, with the theme, "Together We Can!” Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much. All proceeds support our beloved events that Keiki and 'Ohana look forward to each year, such as Pumpkin Patch, Trunk or Treat, Snow Day, Chinese New Year, Spring Event, End of Year Event, and so much more! The money raised also helps to fund our school yearbook, classroom supplies, playground equipment, and Staff Appreciation Day.

Can you help CUPS exceed our past fundraising efforts, so the PTO can continue to organize amazing school-wide events for our children? Being a part of the CUPS community ensures that you will never be alone because “together, we can…” do anything! Please consider an individual or company sponsorship - 100% of your donation is tax-deductible.  On this website, we have included sponsor/donation options and a list of corresponding benefits under the "Please Donate" tab. And if you don't see a package that fits your needs, we can always create one for you. The PTO’s goal is 100% participation. Even a donation of $5.00 brings us closer to success. “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
